Superhero capes, big smiles, and lots of energy filled the Detroit Zoo during Autism Alliance of Michigan’s annual Hero Walk earlier this month.
orsa was there as one of the event sponsors, with team members helping kids create their own superhero capes and supporting families throughout the day.
The annual Hero Walk brings together Michigan’s autism community while raising awareness and support for the work Autism Alliance of Michigan does for families across the state. For orsa, supporting the event was another way to put our resources, our people, and our time behind an organization working to make life better for Michiganders.
The Hero Walk may be over, but the opportunity to support Autism Alliance of Michigan doesn’t end there.
With grow & give, orsa members can round debit card purchases up to the nearest dollar and choose where the extra change goes. You can put it toward your own savings or give it to a cause you care about.
AAoM is one of those causes.
That means your morning coffee, grocery run, or trip to the gas station can help create ongoing support for AAoM and the families it serves. A few cents at a time may not feel like much, but when a community gives together, it adds up.
The Hero Walk gave us a chance to show our support in person. Through grow & give, our members have a way to keep that support going, one purchase at a time.
As part of orsa’s commitment to ignite impossible dreams, a family connected to this year’s Hero Walk will have a dream granted, shaped around what would bring them joy. We’ll share more about the family and their dream soon.
The Hero Walk may be over, but our support continues. From everyday change that adds up to one family’s impossible dream, we’re proud to support AAoM families in ways big and small.
